Paid with paypal now seller wants me to wire money
Hi all As the topic briefly states, i bought an item, paid with paypal, pay now option.. the day after seller sent me an email stating that he could not withdraw the money from the paypal and would like me to do a bank wire.. i answered that i had alredy paid and that he shoudl ship the item. a day later i got a message though ebay stating the same. cant withdraw paypal, please wire money.. i answered him the same.. plus i told him to either ship or cancel the win.. I have no intentions of doing a wire.. the question is.. what do i do here. ? the seller only has 2 feedbacks.. yeah, i know, maybe a little stupid of me, but i thought with the paypal protection i should be home safe.. Best regards Mads|||No no no. Do NOT send a wire. You have already paid. The sellers funds are probably on hold because they are a new seller. The seller is still obligated to send the item whether or not they have access to the money. If the seller doesn't have enough money in Paypal to buy the shipping, then they need to link a credit or debit card and pay for the shipping label that way. Refer your seller to the Paypal's Funds Availability Policy, and that will give them more information.|||"but i thought with the paypal protection i should be home safe" You are safe...unless you wire. Unless I am buying an item I need to have I don't look at feedback anymore. As a buyer I am protected and regardless of feedback numbers the vaste majority of auctions come off without a hitch.|||Do NOT wire the money. If you do not get a refund or the item, file an Item Not Received dispute with PP and get a full refund. Don't agree to a cancellation of the sale until you have the full refund showing in your PP account.~ Lucy ~ Guide to eBay Board AcronymsClick on for links to Help Pages for a new eBayer|||You are doing the right thing by refusing to wire money. There is NO buyer protection if money is wired. Your seller has few feedback and is subject to Paypal's 21 day hold of the payment , until they either prove delivery, or you leave positive feedback (don't unless you receive the item in good order) or the 21 day hold has expired. You should send this link to your seller regarding the Paypal hold. Link If your seller refuses to ship after sending them the link, then send the seller's email with full headers to Ebay and report seller is asking for inappropriate payment due to the Paypal 21 day hold Report it here Link Just wait the 10 days if nothing is received, then file the INR (item Not Received) and get your refund. Do leave an appropriate NEG stating " Paid, seller attempted to circumvent payment policy asked for wire transfer" You may also want to send the Ebay policy link to this seller now Link It is obvious your seller has never bothered to read and get familiar with any of the policies beofre listing on Ebay.|||You are protcted by paying with Paypal, if the seller does not ship as required during the 21 day payment hold by Paypal. This is WHY new or low seller feedback sellers are subject to the payment hold.|||What to do if your seller never sent the goods and payment has been made? How to cancel the paypal?||||||Thanks Lucy I appreciated 4 your feedback.|||Thanks everyone.. I sent him the link this morning.. so far i only had the 1 mails from him telling me to wire the money, nothing else.. I'll give him a couple of days, but so far its smells like a scammer to me..|||madhouse32 DO report the seller's email with full headers to Ebay here. Sellers are not allowed to ask for wire transfer, except in specific catagories Link Often when a seller hears from Ebay , they change their tune.
