Trying to sync ipod with another ...

Well my old computer after 6 reliable years has finally died, god rest her soul, and was used for my itunes and music. Well I have now replaced it with my dad's 2 year old laptop. I bought some songs today on this laptop with my itunes account that I had used on my old computer. However, I continue to get this:

"The ipod 'Justin's ipod' is synced with another itunes library. An ipod can only be synced with only 1 iTunes library at a time. What would you like to do?"

I don't want to have to erase all the songs off my iPod to download the new songs from my itunes because I don't have access to all those songs I originally had. I have transferred some of my songs that it would allow me but I have 200 that were not authorized for transfer.

So the question I am asking is how do I keep all the songs on my iPod and continue to download purchased songs onto my ipod?

I do still have the hard drive from the old computer, so I assume I can transfer the files off of that onto my laptop but I would like that to be a last resort option.

Thank you in advance for any help you will provide.

-Justin K.

P.S. I don't know if this is relevant but,I have checked my purchase history on my iTunes account and it only goes back to 12/30/08. I've purchased about an extra 100 songs before then.
