My new iPod ...

I have had an 8-gig iPod Nano 3G (please bear with me, this is about the 5th generation Nano) for about two years now and have been nothing but pleased - for the most part. I downloaded nearly 1600 songs onto it and spent a great deal of time making sure that the track info was correct and matching each track to the appropriate cover art. A few months ago I made my first purchases from the iTunes Store and have had trouble ever since. When I tried to sync my iPod after that hundreds of songs in the Library would not register and many others had their artwork deleted on the iPod. I tried several times to restore the missing tracks and information, but each time I tried Sync or just to recharge the same deletions would occur.

Finally I decided to start fresh and this past Friday I bought a brand new 16-gig iPod Nano 5thG. When I tried to sync it not only did I get the same missing tracks and artwork in Library as before but the new unit will only download 483 tracks - the same 483 tracks every time. Apple does not seem to have assistance for this problem in their troubleshooting or customer service sections; before I have to return my new iPod and blacken Apple's name across the internet can anyone out there help me?

Thank you
